Detailed History

1963/4	Commenced trading with organised growth and four moves around Hertford.
1964	First product created for British Telecom (The Post Office) to solve problems with gas leaks into telephone exchanges
1973/4	Moved from Hertford into purpose built new 3,400m² factory at Stevenage.
1975	Purchased the business and assets of Kent Mouldings Division from S.T.C Ltd. Purchased the business and assets of Precision Plastics Ltd from B.I.H. Ltd.
1977	Purchased some assets from the Receiver of Marlaheath Plastics Ltd.
1980	Purchased the business and assets from the Receiver of B & B Plastics Ltd.
1981	Purchased some business and assets from Kenley Engineering Ltd. Purchased the freehold of the Cavendish Road, Stevenage factory.
1982	Purchased the business and assets from the Receiver of Forward Plastics Ltd. Absorbed Cosmocord Ltd business and reactivated Pioneer Plastic Containers Ltd.
1983	Purchased the assets of Alpha Plastics Ltd From Agricultural Holdings Ltd. Extended Cavendish Road, Stevenage factory by 900m².
1985	Purchased the business and assets from the Receiver of Hitchin Components Ltd. Purchased the business and assets from the Receiver of James Lumb (Plastics) Ltd.
1985/6	2,700m² of warehouses erected on land acquired from Stevenage Borough Council at Cavendish Road, Stevenage, to greatly extend finishing services and a "Mould & Hold" service.
1986	Extrusion operation relocated to freehold factory in Norwood Green, near Halifax, and now trading as a 90% subsidiary under the name of Tatra Plastics (Extrusions) Ltd.
1987	Sold Pioneer Plastic Containers Ltd to Metal Box Plc.
1988	Purchased some business and assets including compression moulding equipment from Litholite Mouldings Ltd. Purchased the Six Hills Way, Stevenage moulding operation from Platignum Plc.
1989	All injection moulding operations consolidated into freehold Cavendish Rd, Stevenage factory. Purchased the business and assets of JB Arts Ltd.
1990	Purchased the business and assets from the Receiver of Broiler Equipment Co. Ltd. Purchased the business and assets of the Arun Plastics Division from Fina Plc.
1991	Purchased the business and assets from the Receiver of Litholite Mouldings Ltd.
1992	Obtained certification to BS EN ISO 9002 Certificate 92/706 Issued by SGS Yarsley Quality Assured Firms Ltd for Tatra Plastics Limited. Purchased the business and some assets from the Receiver of A W Morris (Repro) Ltd.
1993	JB Arts and A W Morris (Repro) 1992 Ltd rehoused in 3,800m² factory in West Road, Tottenham. Purchased the business and assets from the Receiver of Move Plus UK Ltd. Purchased majority interest in Erewash Mouldings Ltd specialists in large Structural Foam Mouldings. Purchased majority interest in Telecom Protection Technologies Limited to strengthen the telecommunications industry service. Obtained certification to BS EN ISO 9002 for Tatra Plastics (Extrusions) Ltd.
1994	Changed name of Erewash Mouldings Ltd to Precision Plastics Ltd.
1997	Obtained certification to BS EN ISO 9002 for Precision Plastics Limited. Obtained certification to BS EN ISO 9002 for Telecom Protection Technologies Limited.
1998	Purchased the Assets of Vic-Tree (Birmingham) Ltd. The Piacquadio Family exercised their option to buy the remaining 75% of AW Morris (Repro) (1992) Ltd.
1999	Purchased the business and assets from the Liquidator of Synergy Works Ltd (Caddymatic / Wheelpower International).
2000	Purchased the business and assets from the Liquidator of Stratford Precision Plastics Ltd.
2001	Interest in Telecom Protection Technologies Limited sold to Greenwoods Communications Ltd.
2003	The BEC and wheels ranges that were produced at the Mansfield site together with some of the Precision Plastics Ltd moulding work have been amalgamated into the Stevenage site.
2004	Group Restructured to concentrate on Extrusion and Injection Moulding, Telecoms and Rail Pads and consolidated onto Halifax site. Company renamed Tatra Plastics Manufacturing Ltd.
2005	Obtained ISO9000:2000 certification for combined Extrusion & Injection Moulding at Halifax site.
2008	Purchased Click and Fix product range from Centriforce Products Ltd.
